For a late afternoon java pick-me-up today, I stopped at the Happy Rock Coffee Co., coffee house on Portland Avenue, downtown Gladstone. When asked for the barista's recommendation, he said, "the mocha is pretty good."
"Pretty good" was an understatement. The chocolate mocha was yummy! The coffee temperature was just right; neither scalding nor lukewarm. Thick, heavy cream topped off the mocha with an artistic swirl of chocolate syrup. Sweet art in a coffee cup.
